Watch I hate Luv stories Online Full Movie Review & Download Free Film Poster And Bollywood Story The new “I hate Love stories” movie by Karan Johar, fits into a typical Bollywood romantic category. An attempt by Punit Malhotra to make a different romantic movie has not touched the mark.

Critics say that the movie lacks the personal touch. It reminds people of many films made by Yash Raj Productions and Dharma Productions. The bottom line is everyone falls in love, whether they like love stories or not.

The presentation of the movie is great but there is nothing new in the story.

Sonam Kapoor has let down expectations of many, with the same expressions on her face, tone of her voice not going well with her expressions. All one can say is she did not justify her character.

A little self deprecation and a lot of sarcasm goes into the making of this Karan Johar’s production ‘I Hate Luv Storys’. Jay (Imran Khan) works as an assistant director to Veer (Samir Soni), who is an expert on creating romantic stories. Veer revels in using the same set properties for intro scenes, melodrama, devotional songs, twists and turns and finally the climax which inevitably culminates at the airport. He is supremely confident that such ‘hatke’ dialogues, theme will re-connect with the audience and will re-create magic at the box office. The best part about him is that he knows he’s talking crap but who cares as long as the audience is lapping up the recycled love stories set in different locations.

This time Veer’s film is set in New Zealand and on such location, Jay’s transformation takes place. By the time he returns, there is a lot of emotional upheaval and Veer has the last laugh. The bottomline of the story is no matter how critical you are of a filmmaker who specializes in romance, there are innumerable people who root for love stories and will be swept away with the magic associated with it. So Karan Johar will continue to make love stories and all of them will have the same old set properties.

Sonam Kapoor is Simran Sharma, who works with Veer as a production designer. She looks like a plain Jane. There are times she looks absolutely blank, in the emotional scenes when she needs to feel sad, all she has is her eyes welled up with tears. Imran Khan’s body language is cool, just right but he too seems raw.

I Hate Luv Storys (I Hate Love Stories) movie is the maxim Jay lives by. But as an assistant director to Veer, the most famous romantic filmmaker of Indian Film Industry, Jay has little option but to live with larger than life, glossy, cinematic love on an everyday basis. Things only get worse when he is made to work under the new production designer on the film… Simran, with whom he shares the strangest first encounter!

Simran loves luv storys; So much so that even her life has begun to resemble one. With her ideal job and the perfect boyfriend, Raj, she lives a blissful, dreamy life; One that is rudely interrupted by Jay’s cynicism.

The turmoil’s of Jay and Simran’s life, is ironically interweaved with the Luv Story that they are working on…. But will Jay and Simran ever find their own Luv Story.

‘Ek Second Jo Zindagi Badal De’ uses parallel time-lines to explore the different paths that a woman’s life might take as we see the role fate plays on Rashi by played by Manisha.

Interesting idea but the movie is marred by feeble screenplay and sleepy narration.

The Story……. Of course

Nothing works in this film, except, to some extent, the musical score, which is also strictly okay. Despite experienced names, the performances of actors are below ordinary. Manisha has lost the charm. Jackie looks completely lost. Pakistani actor Moammar Rana, seen earlier in DOBARA in a brief role, comes up with standard expressions. Nikita Anand exposes her curves uninhibitedly and is quite effective. Roza sizzles in the dance number, but has no acting talent. Suniel is awkward.

On the whole, EK SECOND… JO ZINDAGI BADAL DE is a poor show.

Mr Singh/Mrs Mehta is directorial debut of Pravesh Bhardwaj and features music of Grammy nominated artist Ustad Shujaat Hussain Khan.

Artist Ashwin Mehta (Prashant Narayanan) paints his wife’s toenails more than he colours the canvas. Wife Sakhi Mehta (Lucy Hassan) is having an extramarital affair with Karan Singh (Naved Aslam). Karan’s wife Neera Singh (Aruna Shields) discovers her husband’s infidelity and seeks solace in Ashwin’s company. Though the adultery is openly evident since start, strangely both Ashwin and Neera never confront their respective partners and choose to have loyal illusions of their spouse.

Extensive footage of nudity seeps in the screenplay on the pretext that the artist can overcome his block by painting nude female form ala Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic or Randeep Hooda in Rang Rasiya . Surprisingly Neera initially shies away from posing nude despite the fact that she has been moving around naked in Ashwin’s warehouse for a major part of the film. And hold on… before your imagination runs wild, the fact remains that the continually censored blurs that ‘shields’ Aruna’s nude body will irritate you more than titillate.

Director Pravesh Bhardwaj spends liberal and lethargic screen-time in establishing the chemistry between Ashwin and Neera through corny conversations, transition songs and nude sketching which tends to get monotonous after a while. But when the relationships actually go crisscross and complicate in the concluding reels, Bhardwaj wraps up the narrative subtly and hastily without much clarity on the character correlations and conflicts, forcing you to do the guesswork.

Aruna Shields starring as Mrs. Mehta in this film and she has already earned shocking reviews in the film circuit due to the presence of hot scenes. Due to hot scenes and love making scenes of Aruna Shields, the film has rumored to have been rejected by 60 odd actresses. However, it seems that British actress Aruna Shields has no doubts delivering over the topless scenes for the movie. Aruna Shields has acted in Prince with Vivek Oberoi. In this film, the actress Aruna Sheelds poses in undressed for her painter-cum- boyfriend in the film.

A lot of trepidations are there around Censor board’s decision on Aruna Shields scene in Mr. Singh Mrs. Mehta. Being an integral part of the film, the scene news of the film now comes as a surprise to many. By the otherwise conservative censor board, bollywood has in the past witnessed reports of accompaniments made to such scenes.

The performances are average and never rise above the lackluster script. Prashant Narayanan is capable of much better. Aruna Shields is passable but doesn’t have anything exceptional to display including her anatomy. Sadly, both the artist and the muse fail to amuse in this colourless cinema.

Kites box office collection of Rs. 21 crore which is second highest after 3 Idiots in first day is good indication of success of the movie.

Though the Kites story is a typical romantic saga spiced in a trademark Bollywood style with dance, romance,

bank robbery and police chase. But why the movie became every one’s fancy was definitely director Anurag Basu’s persistent energy in delivering the best of everything with total energy and whole lot of passion.

Kites plot review: The movie is a romantic and thrilling adventure but is different from regular Bollywood flicks for two reasons, one it is the first trilingual movie with English, Spanish and Hindi language and second it was not lengthy as other Hindi movies. Also the dance and songs which are very typical to average Hindi movie does not come in way of the rhythm with which the movie progresses quite welcomed by US media. The songs are well weaved in the background and compliment with the pace of the story.

Kites star cast: Another highlight of Kites is its star cast with a special mention to Hrithik Roshan who has left women go crazy and desire for more. His chiseled look and a body to die for is nothing less than a visual treat for many ladies in the theatre.

But the writing could’ve been tighter. Kangna has a half-baked track. The culmination to Nicholas Brown’s track looks convenient. There’s no mention of Kabir Bedi – the most influential man – after a point. The couple’s encounters with the American police look ludicrous. These weigh the film down, honestly.

Rajesh Roshan’s music is strictly okay. The score isn’t a patch on this combo’s [Rakesh Roshan and Rajesh Roshan] earlier works. However, Salim-Sulaiman’s background score compliments the style and composition of sequences and truly appears as an international score. Ayananka Bose’s cinematography is splendid. The chase sequences are awe-inspiring, especially the one when car after car is smashed into smithereens.

Hrithik is unbeatable and that’s the truth. Very few actors can rise above the script and Hrithik is one of them. He’s the lifeline of this film. Barbara Mori looks perfect for her part, but appears slightly mature at places. Nonetheless, the chemistry between Hrithik and Barbara is electrifying. Kangna is wasted. Kabir Bedi does a decent job. Nicholas Brown, as Kangna’s brother and Barbara’s fiancé, is top notch and adds a lot of freshness to the film.

On the whole, KITES has style, visuals and Hrithik Roshan as its trump cards, but its content leaves a lot to be desired. The film has evoked tremendous curiosity, which will translate into great numbers in its initial week. The wide release, the number of shows at every cineplex and lack of any film opposition will help the film set new records initially, but the huge costs on the other hand will play a spoilsport.

How about using the same yardstick for movies attempted by names that command tremendous respect in the West? We forgive them, most of the times. We even turn a blind eye, ignoring the deficiencies only because the West holds them in high esteem. The thought crosses our mind pretty often: Wouldn’t we come across as complete nincompoops if we ridiculed them, even if they turn up with pure trash?

I am not going to mince words. With IT’S A WONDERFUL AFTERLIFE, celebrated film-maker Gurinder Chadha hits a new low. It actually makes me wonder, was BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM a fluke? IT’S A WONDERFUL AFTERLIFE is so insipid and hollow that it makes her previous film BRIDE & PREJUDICE, considered by many as her weakest film, look like an epic in comparison.

The Story..of course

Mrs. Sethi (Shabana Azmi), a widow, can’t bear the thought of her daughter being alone and unhappy. When Mrs. Sethi can no longer stomach the rudeness of families who refuse her daughter, she takes matters into her own hands with the only way she knows… suddenly a police hunt begins for a serial murderer.

Mrs. Sethi doesn’t feel too guilty until the spirits of her victims come back to haunt her, as they are unable to be reincarnated until their murderer dies. Mrs. Sethi has no problem killing herself – she’ll get to see her dead husband again – but how can she go before her daughter is married? The spirits realize that helping Mrs. Sethi find a suitable husband for her daughter, before the police catch her, is their only chance for a wonderful afterlife.

Then there is Roopi’s friend Linda (Sally Hawkins) who has learnt from her six-week visit to India that the country is all about spicy food, spirituality and numerology. If that global cliché on India is not enough, there is an entire blown up sequence in an engagement party in the pre-climax where Linda gives homage to horror films with blood and gore being replaced by butter and gravy. What was supposed to be a funny satire ends up being a cheesy sequence with the spoof falling flat. Finally the emotional climax is the most clichéd and convenient end the film could have opted for.

The film starts off promisingly but eventually the dull screenplay by Gurinder Chadha and husband Paul Mayeda Berges fails to breathe life in the plot. Clearly it’s not designed as a horror flick to spook you so you are prepared to digest the preposterous premise. Sadly in present times, horror films turn out to be laughable while comedy films turn out to be horrific. Some one-liners are pretty funny but otherwise the comic timing of the ghostly cast is flawed.

Goldy Notay has a repelling personality and fails to appeal even through her performance. Sendhil Ramamurthy has nothing much to do in the film other than smooch Notay. The duo still lacks chemistry. Shabana Azmi is absolutely natural in her act but this certainly isn’t amongst her best works. Sanjeev Bhaskar is noteworthy amongst the ghosts. Sally Hawkins does decent.

Badmaash Company

Movie Review Nevertheless, the film revolves around the three guys, who after passing out from college, want to make it big in the big bad world outside. Thus, their journey begins, to Bangkok, when the pretty and petite Anushka, who wants make a mark for herslf as a model, joins them.

Thus, with the cash tucked in the most unimaginable places in their bodies, the foursome hit it out in Bangkok.

The wrong path to a quick buck is created by various silly business enterprises. They sell single shoes, gloves and shirts that fade into a different color with every wash. After each tryst with their luck to earn a quick buck, there are songs and a little coochy cooing amongst the lead pair Shahid and Anushka

BADMAASH COMPANY has some terrific moments. The sequences in Bangkok are enjoyable. Ditto for the showdown between the friends in the post-interval hour. The transformation in Shahid’s persona is also beautifully depicted. But, like I pointed out at the outset, the second hour tends to get repetitive and the penultimate 25-odd minutes are a strict no-no.

Pritam’s music is foot-tapping and almost every song has been filmed very well. Sanjay Kapoor’s cinematography is just right.

Every actor puts his best foot forward in BADMAASH COMPANY. Shahid gets it right yet again. It wouldn’t be erroneous to say that this is amongst his finest works. Watch him blow his lid in the restaurant sequence and also in another sequence, when he meets a pregnant Anushka. He is confidence personified in those sequences.

Anushka is a revelation. She looks stunning, her performance is livewire and the chemistry with Shahid is electrifying. Strangely, she took a backseat after her debut in RAB NE BANADI JODI, but BADMAASH COMPANY will bring her back in public eye. Vir Das is another surprise. He’s in terrific form here. The film marks the ‘birth’ of another talent — Meiyang Chang — who adds a lot of freshness and zing to his character. Anupam Kher is wonderful. Kiran Juneja makes her presence felt. Pawan Malhotra is extremely likeable.

On the whole, BADMAASH COMPANY is a watchable experience for various reasons, the prime reason being it offers solid entertainment, but doesn’t insult your intelligence. Recommended!

Akshay and Ritesh’s histrionics to hide the truth from Arjun Rampal and Boman Irani.The most hilarious sequences are most of the scenes featuring Akshay and Ritesh together. Akshay-Ritesh share terrific chemistry all together. The climax is a laugh riot. Mika sung foot tapping number Apni To Jaise Taise featuring Jacqueline Fernandez is a sure shot chart buster and is fun to watch on screen. Overall, Housefull will entertain you which is a pure entertainment, go and enjoy this weekend.

City of Gold

Step by step violence and vice take prominence. Naru is shown hitting a mutton shop owner. Manju’s beautician friend tells her to take it slowly with her rich boyfriend. The logic behind it – ‘In paisewaalon ko kaato; phir baato.’ Mohan swindles 25000 over betting in cricket match. The grime piles up more as the frames flash by. Manju has pre-marital sex with Jignesh. During Ganpati Visarjan, Bajirao shoots someone. Mohan sleeps with a neighboring Mami (Kashmira Shah). To make matters seem more yuck, Mami is shown justifying her act with a speech that comes out in bits and pieces on her way to orgasm.

After interval, the trend of escalating goriness only gets severe. The scenes are so strong, it takes you on a trance. It’s a hypnotic vortex that strangles you to the point of suffocation. It’s not easy to handle to this bitter pill.

But to an extent. However, it does not let you empathize with what the mill workers went through. Instead, what you get is a VAASTAV like situation. Son taking to crime. Of course, the mother does not shoot him.

I felt terribly let down because Manjrekar had touched on a topic that has been buried deep beneath the multiplexes, business centres and residential towers in Mumbai’s Parel areas where the mills once stood. What was supposed to be grim reminder about the mills and the thousands of mill workers who lost their livelihood (some their lives), turns out to be just another commentary on crime, or the genesis of the city’s underbelly, as the synopsis reveals.

The plight of the mill workers is told through the tale of one such Maharashtrian family living in the millworker’s chawl

Rising and toiling to the wail of the mill sirens each and every day, seven days a week, these workers embodied the true unbridled zeal and unflagging spirit of the city and played a pivotal role in the evolution of Mumbai as the modern-day business capital of India. And then it suddenly was as if they never existed. Following the mill workers’ strike in the mid-80s, these mills began closing down rapidly and the mill workers mysteriously disappeared.

Let me forewarn you that CITY OF GOLD is not for the faint-hearted. The relationships, the violence, the language depicted in the film may shake you intermittently from your comfort zone. And it is these sequences, honestly, that are the mainstay of the enterprise. There’s no denying that Manjrekar leaves an indelible impression in several sequences.

The film is embellished with a superior cast and each actor, irrespective of the length of the role, appears straight out of life. Seema Biswas, Siddharth Jadhav [as Speed Breaker], Veena Jamkar [as Manju], Shashank Shende [as Anna], Sachin Khedekar, Vinay Apte, Ganesh Yadav, Satish Kaushik, Kashmira Shah, Sameer Dharmadhikari and Vineet Singh [as Mohan] put their best foot forward. Each one is memorable in his/her role. But the show stopper is Karan Patel undoubtedly. It’s a sensational performance, which will make people sit up and notice this supremely talented actor.

On the whole, CITY OF GOLD is a heart-wrenching and violent journey that has the stamp of a gifted storyteller, Mahesh Manjrekar. Recommended!

MOVIE REVIEW

Jag Mundhra comes up with a fairly taut thriller, which is absorbing in parts. Inspired by the Hollywood film SINGLE WHITE FEMALE [Bridget Fonda, Jennifer Jason Leigh], the film has been adapted decently well to suit Indian sensibilities, but there’s a hiccup. Neetu Chandra uses every predictable trick in the book to make Tanushree’s life miserable. From poisoning Anupam Kher’s cat to eyeing Tanushree’s man, the stunts that she pulls off don’t send a chill down your spine, which is very, very vital for a film that banks on terrifying moments to keep its audience hooked

Yet, when compared to the content in the marketplace today, APARTMENT is at least watchable in parts.

Tanushree Dutta is an airhostess living in with her boyfriend Rohit Roy. They share a nice apartment and are befriended by their elderly neighbour Anupam Kher, a struggling poet and lyricist.

Rohit Roy and Tanushree Dutta make a couple who have high flying jobs and thanks to their united incomes, get their hands on a swank apartment. However, a misunderstanding leads to a tiff between the two and Tanushree throws Rohit out.

‘Okay now how will I pay the rent?’ thinks Tanushree and puts an ad out for a roommate. In comes Neetu Chandra, a Dehradun girl who seems pretty harmless at first look. The fact that she’s a maniac comes out little by little when there’s sign that things between Tanushree and Rohit get better.

Trying to help Tanushree keep herself safe is Anupam Kher, her next door neighbor.

The film goes on quite logically up until the climax. The climax is so ridiculous; it makes you wonder how an experienced film maker like Jagmohan Mundhra agree for it. There is a fair bit of comic relief. The music is not up to the mark.

Swaraswati Vidya Mandir School is a school which is focussed to nurture kids and believes that teaching is a noble profession. Movie Download Free The principal of the school, Aditya Sahay (Nana Patekar) is an ideal principal who has not married to concentrate on his school. Soon, the trustees of the school realises that the school is not generating enough revenue and gets into a brand building exercise.

In mid of all this, a new English Teacher Rahul Prakash Udyavar (Shahid Kapoor) is recruited. As time passes, Rahul who loves his profession becomes popular among kids and his co-teachers. But, later he realises that something wrong is happening in the institution. Rahul decides to find out the issue and was horrified to find out that in the name of extracurricular activities the school management is asking for heavy amount from the parents and when the parents are unable to pay the required money their kids are punished and are treated in-humanly.

Things go well until a very confusing meeting with the principal gives a hint to the teachers that the school is not as good as the other posh schools that have electronic boards and AC classrooms. Later lot of money-usurping things take place at the school like forced sale of sports and music equipments as well as manipulated canteen coupons.

However, the biggest nuisance is the attempt to get the school a lift in its face-value with the help of PRs who do a good job prattling and shoving laptop in your face. They propose to do reality shows and other non-sense of which we don’t get a clue of, that will make their school name popular and I’m guessing the management committee a lot of moolah.

The school teachers are livid and the students get tired and depressed amongst all this drama. The teachers decide to take a stand through mass resignation but thanks to the eavesdropping, all knowing peon Waghmare (Anjan Srivastava) they get to see a file that shows the school is all set for new recruits. Screech! The plan comes to a halt and the track is changed. With Shahid as the leader the whole school is motivated to go on a strike. The protest catches media attention which forces the sleeping Mantriji (Minister) to wake up and voila, the interfering trustee is taught a lesson. Not money but education becomes the goal again!

PAATHSHAALA brings back those dark memories because the film encapsulates these two incidents on celluloid. The problem with the film is, it gets very real at times, but gets farcical as well. The participation of kids in media activities doesn’t have a hammer-strong impact. The chilly portion and the director capturing it on camera, or the press photographer munching samosa as the kids get ready with a pyramid, looks unreal, despite being identifiable incidents. Even the climax is confusing. What is Nana saying in the concluding reels lacks precision.

Director Milind Ukey has filmed some scenes expertly, but, as mentioned above, the film lacks the power to make you do a serious introspection. Hanif Shaikh’s music is strictly okay.

Nana is very much in sync with his character. Shahid displays the vulnerability and helplessness remarkably. Ayesha is a complete natural, as always. Amongst the plethora of teachers and students, Sushant Singh does well, Sushmita Mukherjee is serviceable and Saurabh Shukla is so effective, you start hating him for his repulsive attitude.

On the whole, PAATHSHAALA is a well-intentioned film, but lacks clarity thanks to an uninspiring screenplay.
