Just hours after Lil Wayne was sentenced to one year in prison on weapons charges, T.I. gave the world notice that he’s returning with a vengeance. The King of the South announced to a select group of DJs in a conference call that his new album is coming out on August 24 — and, as expected, he released his new single,”I’m Back.”

“I ain’t never let you down, I’mma shine on sight,” Tip raps on the song. “Keep your mind on your grind and off of mines alright / Hard, I’mma ball on those squares, I flow/ A quarter million dollar cars everywhere I go … No matter what they doin’ they don’t do it like me … recognize I’m back.”

Later in the first verse, Tip lays the fiery brash delivery he’s beloved for.

“You ain’t got a pimp bone in your body,” Tip chastises, throwing thunder at fraudulent MCs. “I can tell you ain’t never bought a key or caught a body/ N—a probably just seen Wayne, Gucci Mane, me and Boosie all go to prison/ Now he flip his whole image/ N—a trippin’/ Listen dude, for you that ain’t in the cards.” The song was produced new Grand Hustle producers the Trackslayerz, and is available for download at T.I.’s Web site.

Through it all, Hayes sounds like he’s still very much upset over Hollywood’s inability to see him as anything beside Jack. But as a loyal W&G fan, I have to ask: Is that really so bad? It’s sad that the industry is still too close-minded to cast actors in roles regardless of sexual orientation, but Hayes still ought to be awfully proud of his biggest pop culture accomplishment: creating one of the funniest, most memorable characters in TV history. For eight years, the series provided a showcase for his world-class comic talents — not to mention singing and dancing chops. He earned an Emmy and four Screen Actors’ Guild awards, along with legions of fans, and (we’re assuming) plenty of nice paychecks. It was an opportunity that most actors can only dream of. And while there’s no doubt that Hayes’ talents go beyond the limits of just that one character (his turn as Jerry Lewis in 2002’s Martin and Lewis showed off a neglected knack for drama), we’ll still always appreciate him for giving us Jack. OKLAHOMA CITY — Trecey Rew added nearly a foot to her school record while winning the women’s shot put Saturday, leading Northwestern State to its best team finish in eight years and the top finish by a Louisiana team, fifth, in the 12-team standings of the 2010 Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Rew, a junior, won her second SLC Indoor shot put title after a redshirt season due to a fractured foot in 2009. She threw 52-2 1/2, wiping out the school record of 51-5 she set earlier this season, and won by almost four feet.

Her victory contributed 10 points to the 46 1/2 total for the Lady Demons, who edged Texas State (46 points) for fifth in the overall team standings. Stephen F. Between March 16th and 20th, Hurstpierpoint Players are putting on Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy Sugar Daddies at their theatre in Hurst High Street. This play could have been an unsettling look at relationships between rich men long past the first flush of middle age and women decades younger, but Ayckbourn is interested in subverting our expectations.

The site aggregates data from across the web, and also accepts user-submitted content. But instead of presenting a list of reviews submitted by individual users, the site is using a group-edited Wiki system, with a lengthy overview describing a certain establishment (there are still shorter, Yelp-style reviews with a star rating and comments beneath the Wiki). Gil says that the site also has a broader focus, and looks to offer entries that are more detailed than a Yelp review.

FC Moscow go out of business after owners pull plug on funding

Chelsea, be warned: some Russian sugar daddies turn off the tap. Russian Premier League side FC Moscow have ceased to exist after their owners, metal giants Norilsk Nickel, stopped funding them.

Eleven fans went on a hunger strike in an attempt to get the club back into the league, but gave up after five days when the head of the Russian FA visited them to say there was no chance of a return. He did promise that the club would retain their professional status, though that seems unlikely. Free Online Movie Nanna Olvina Banna is directed by Bhushan who has been designing Upendra’s posters and publicity stills. The young director had claimed that it would be a completely “colorful film”. Unfortunately, the movie is colorless and dull with a story that goes nowhere.

The story is about a village boy who dreams of colours all the time. He movies to a city in search of livelihood and joins an arts school. He meets several promising stars at the school. He also happens to bump into the female lead in the school. The female lead, at times, behaves like a split personality reminding the Nagavalli character from Aapta Mitra. She is also responsible for the hero’s swinging fortunes. Eventually, he reaches the point from where he started.

A boring narrative makes the movie agonizing to watch. Editing has gone horribly wrong with some scenes losing connection. The audience has the task of connecting the two scenes. The director, it seems has tried to experiment with the movie like his idol Upendra, but has failed miserably. Most of the time, the female lead in the movie is seen performing various classical dance forms, which completely appears out of context. More than acting, she is seen dancing in the movie.

He joins the Ken School of Art and flourishes in his studies. His efficiency is misused by Saka (Ashwini) and that is depressing for the fiancé of Shekar – Kala (Shanthala) also an art student.

To teach lesson for hot headed nature of Saka it is Shekar who accepts all her assignments works day and night. But this is mistaken by Saka and she feels her ground is unstable. She hatches a plot to destabilize the ground of Shekar. Innocent Shekar is now put in a fix. He goes back to his village on his mother’s death. It is once again Kala who surface at the right time to provide solace to Shekar. Now Shekar learning the injustice done to his innocence takes on all the business of Saka. A wrong debut for real art student Somashekar. He has not learnt the nuance of acting is what makes difficult to sit through. Ashwini screams a lot than acting. Shanthala in her debut is OK.

There are two lovely songs from music director V Manohar. Garam Garam Bengaluru Bendha Kaluru….and beautifully shot Gunguru Languru Gungurala Male…..are best among all. The cinematography of Nagesh Acharya is adequate.

For a respectable girl like her, who hails from a middle-class family background, being taken to the police station and interrogated for suspected sexual felony, is a nightmarish experience and memory.  Like a strong woman, she decides to put the ugly past behind her and move forward.  It is then, when she bumps into ‘Fevicol’ Sandeep, who has already fallen in love with the pretty diva.

What follows is on expected lines. The guy pesters her, the girl tries to avoid him best. However, as expected again, Suhani gets attracted to Sandeep, and happens to spend a night with him. Much to her horror, Sandeep never takes her calls, after the night.

Why is Sandeep, who is in deep love with Suhani, avoiding her? Who is behind the exploitation of her best buddy, who is now mentally unsound? Will she ever find a way to come out of her fear psychosis (at present), and seek the pound of flesh from the villains behind?

It may so be said that Sadhyam is a good opportunity lost. It seems to follow from a good premise and could have thrown up an emotionally-charged and well-narrated story.

If we try hard to understand why this film was made they could be two reasons, one the director wanted to capitalize on Jagapati Babu-Priyamani chemistry. Next he had a subject about a weak-hearted woman who has been given a chance to kill a person whom she hates most within some hours and eventually uses the weapon against the man who gave her the chance. The first few scenes make us feel that something interesting could come up soon but the story goes slow, drags and stretches like a bubble gum. Just to make the heroine tell her mother she wants to have a cup of coffee, there are hazaar other scenes building up as a prelude.

An utter waste of time and money, Sadhyam hands over a positive message. That if you have a hidden talent of writing or narrating a story, do it now and go look out for your favourite actors. If accomplished actors like Jagapati Babu, Priyamani and Kota Srinivasa Rao can trust a story such as this, then anything and everything is Sadhyam

The film has no story, logic, reason or continuity with scenes cyclostyled from earlier films. The hero and heroine gets into a Kingfisher flight in Hyderabad and lands in Chennai on Air India! All leading artists in the film ends up at Binny Mills for the climax shoot out with the villain who is heroine’s father as the hero fights two dozen stuntmen and saves everybody including his foster parents and also “discovers” his dad !!

There is no originality in the film. Akil (Bharath) is a rich guy who along with his friend Cola Kumar (Vivek) runs a south Indian restaurant Sakunthala food palace in Singapore. His dad (Nizhalugal Ravi) arranges his marriage with family friend’s daughter Priya (Madhalasa), but Akil is in love with Divya (Sanya Khan) a squash champion from India, modeled on Sania Mirza!

When the marriage is called off, Priya’s dad in a fit of rage blurts out that he never wanted his daughter to marry an orphan. It shocks Akil whose foster dad reveals that his biological parents are in Chengalpet and a ambulance driver (Thalaivasal Vijay) knows the truth. Akil comes to Chennai in search of his parents and gets into trouble with Divya’s dad Thirumalai who does not like her getting married at a time when she is about to sign a Rs 5 Crore endorsement deal! He also runs into the bad books of Kumaraswamy (Prabhu), which leads to the final climax where everything is unraveled.

“I am making films keeping in mind the producers. Because they are the ones who would suffer a lot if a movie fails to work at box-office. So I don’t want to try new things in others’ money to establish myself as a talented filmmaker,” he says.

“If at all I want to try something different, I would produce the film and direct it. Till then, I don’t want to take risk. Commercial films are safe bet and I like what I am doing now,” says Badri, clearing the air.

On ‘Thambikku Indha Ooru’, he says, “quite like my earlier films, ‘Thambikku Indha Ooru’ too will be a mixture of all ingredients a movie-goer would expect. Besides, there is a heavy dose of comedy in this thanks to Vivek and M S Baskar.”

Singing paeans on Bharath, Badri says, “He has taken immense risk in one of the stunt scenes choreographed by Jackie Chan’s fight master Jimmy Lo. Bharath performed risky stunts on his own without much safety measures. His hard work deserves praise.”

Bharath copies Vijay’s mannerisms and dance movements and tries his best to pass off as a mass hero. Vivek is highly irritating as a retrograde male stereotype making crude stale jokes and poking fun at Tamil super heroes, Telugu actors and Malayalee girls. Outrageous is a pretty good word to describe Vivek who uses double entendre liberally. Discussing the merits of the female performers would be doing great disservice to them. So mum’s is the word.

Movie Review: Ahead of the international women’s day, director Kathiravan has come up with an outline that has the potential to deliver a film that celebrates woman’s empowerment.

And having chosen to set the story against the backdrop of ‘tholpavai’ puppeteers, practitioners of the ancient form in Tirunelveli and Maharashtra, the director shows that he has done in-depth research on its history. After all, ‘tholpavai’ is the grandmother of all forms of visual entertainment. Setting up a love story against this unexplored milieu is an interesting departure from the usual village-centric stories, and within the first half hour you are all keyed-up for a venture where art-house meets popular expectations.

Siva Rao (Veera Santhanam), a travelling tholpavai puppeteer, and his family lands in the tiny village in Tirunelveli, but a promising patronage is lost when a circus sets up tent. Unwilling to leave a story untold, the family stays on, thanks to the kindness of the local big man, Chelladurai (Theodore Bhaskaran). Rao’s granddaughter Tamil Arasi (debutant Nandhagi) is enrolled in the local school, both to study and get a free meal. However, Chelladurai’s grandson Jothi Murugan (Jai) takes a liking to her, and the puppeteer family stays on for years. Jothi and Tamil become thick friends, and as the XII board exams arrive, there is a subtle change in the friendship.

Jothi and Tamilarasi (Nandhagi) go to the same school till 12th standard. Tamilarasi completes her final exams with flying colors while Jothi flunks in the same. Tamilarasi gets admission to a college in Pune which upsets Jothi and unable to bear the separation from her he goes overboard and things take a different twist from there on as tragedy strikes Tamilarasi’s family more than once.

Due to circumstances  Jothi and Tamilarasi get separated from each other and life takes different propositions till Jothi comes in search of her after a gap of eight years to lead a life with her. The end is however quite ordinary and predictable which pushes this movie to the normal run-of-the-mill category. The comedy element in the film is taken care of Kanja Kauppu but again it is more of a separate track from the main storyline.

Director Meera Kathiravan who has shown his brilliance in the first half literally limps in the latter part of the second half which leads to the climax. The main spoiler in the movie is the screenplay which should have been altered greatly to bring in the impact which movies like “Subramaniyapuram” and “Pasanga” to name a few had on the audience.

Jai has matured greatly as an actor and in the role of an 18 yr old boy his body language is simply amazing. Nandhagi as Tamilarasi is very raw in her acting which goes well with the character. Theodre Bhaskaran looks apt for his role but in terms of his acting there is definitely scope for improvement.

Art director Moorthy has brought in the feel of the village to perfection and Cinematographer P G Muthiah has captured the rustic locales with the required flavor.

However, the horror seems to be chasing Anushka, no matter where she goes. Gradually, she begins to suspect that it is Ravi’s first wife Pooja, who is trying to frighten her and causing these incidents.

Unable to cope up with further torment, Anushka decides to meet a healer to ward off the evil spirit, who gives her a yantra (religious instrument) for the purpose. Even as the yantra given by the healer keeps Anushka safe, her husband and sister-in-law are murdered and she is convicted for the killing. Herein enters Ahana, Anushka’s sister, who decides to rescue the latter and prove her innocence. She is joined in the quest by Ranveer, the cop who is in charge of Anushka’s case, though he has different reasons altogether.

In their battle against the evil spirit haunting Anushka’s house, Ahana and Ranvir are also cursed by the shadow, before they are able to unravel the mystery. As they continue to try to make sense of things, they also meet the same healer as Anushka, who helps them to open the knots of obscurity. Who is the evil spirit haunting Anushka’s house? Will Ahana and Ranveer be able to unravel the mystery before it is too late? Will they be able to save Anushka? Hit the theatres on March 5, to know the answers to all of these questions.

However the bad vibes follow Ravi in this house too. Anushka gets scared, her life starts becoming hell and suspects of Pooja (Ravi’s first wife) being the reason behind this petrified situation. Exhausted of the horror, Anushka seeks advice through some healer. The healer tells her of the house being accursed and tells to keep away from the same, as one who will pass through the shadow of the house will die a painful death. While Anushka tries to reason out the reason behind the happenings, her husband and sister-in-law get murdered and she is charged guilty for the same.

Unable to see her sister suffer, Ahana lends a helping hand to Anushka and plans to take her out of the predicament. In asylum Ahana meets Ranveer, a cop in charge of the case. Ranveer tells about the charges imposed on Anushka and also shows her the way out of the asylum. In their journey to save Anushka, the two get cursed by the shadow of the house and meet the same healer, who helps them unfolding the mystery. The nerve wrecking incidents and spine chilling thrills take place as the secret of the accursed house slowly unfolds and gets revealed.
