MOVIE PREVIEW

I know the idea of a loser guy dating a hot chick has been done to death, but I still think the upcoming movie She’s Out of My League looks pretty darn cute — not groundbreaking, but cute. Jay Baruchel stars as Kirk, an average airport security guy who lucks into meeting knockout Molly (Alice Eve who I loved in Starter For Ten). The two begin dating, but things go askew when Molly’s Ken-doll ex Cam (Geoff Stults) shows up to win her back.

The movie definitely sticks to a formula — the perfect 10 girl, the underdog guy, the standard four pervy guy friends a la Knocked Up — but hey, it appears to be working here. Not to mention you’ve got Weezer’s “(If You’re Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To” for added fun. The film comes to theaters March 12, but take a peek at the trailer (and note the term “moodle”) when youread more.
