Review : Karthik Calling Karthik Hindi Movie Free Poster Karthk Calling Karthk

Karthik Calling KarthikFarhan Akhtar’s Karthik Calling Karthik opened well at the multiplexes but did not show any rise in the business over the weekend.Movie Download Free While Farhan Akhtar certainly has gained a fan-following as an actor post Rock On,Free Online Movie the excitement isn’t as huge at the box-office. Business at single-screens is comparatively dull.Bollywood Movie

it is his quiet confidence and gentle aggression that make you sit up and watch, as he goes about winning the very worlds that had earlier ignored him. Treat.

But, there’s a third avatar too that Farhan displays with equal felicity. After getting the love of the girl who hadn’t even notice him in the last few years and becoming an equal partner in the success of the company where he works, now that he’s forced his khadoos boss to admit his accomplishments, Karthik’s life suddenly takes a turn downhill. His mentor, the other, unidentified phone-caller Karthik, gets livid when his identity is revealed and threatens to turn mean. He plunders all his carefully nurture relationships and sends the poor, derided soul into hiding once again. This time round, the mystery is even more painful, as KO-ed Karthik tries to put back his life, piece by piece, minus his evil mentor. Does it work?

It works, at one level. Vijay Lalwani’s film is immensely watchable, purely for the class act by Farhan Akhtar in the title role. Even Deepika Padukone plays in perfectly as the lively, uptown girl who has burnt her fingers a bit too much, as do the fringe players like Ram Kapoor and Shefali Chayya. One does wish there was a bit more of the bubbly Ms Padukone, though. Where it doesn’t work is the entertainment factor. The screenplay does tend to get a bit clunky and the drama somewhat heavy as the director looks for text book resolutions of the teasing problem.

The movie itself was a bit of a disappointment though I didn’t expect much. I looked forward to seeing Deepika Padukone in the unorthodox and brave style she usually portrays and Farhan Akhtar in his logical usual because I enjoy both these roles. Deepika was excellent in Love Aaj Kal and Farhan Akhtar was good in Luck By Chance. As much as I love Farhan Akhtar (I placed two of his films in Bollywood decade top 10), I think his acting is good without being close to great. And that’s fine, you can’t be great at every thing.

Coming to the movie. It had a pleasant first half and an excellent start to the second half. The grip and tension could not be maintained though. It felt like a slow drama evolving in front of you instead of a thriller like it should have been (in the same pace of Johny Gaddar). There was never a moment of pure brilliance or a shot taken which really enthralled you.

Deepika Padukone looks bewitching and acts natural throughout. Ram Kapoor is fantastic. Why don’t we see him so frequently on the big screen? Shifaali Shah is excellent. Vivan Bhatena is good. Tarana, Vipin Sharma and Yatin Karyekar are serviceable.

On the whole, KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK is a decent product with an unconvincing conclusion. Watch it for the wonderful performances of Farhan and Deepika, if you have to. Caters to the youth in metros mainly.
