Kansas City Royals catcher Jason Kendall is currently in the process of divorcing his wife, Chantel Kendall, and as is often the case in these matters, things are getting ugly. Particularly when the divorcing couple is fighting over the custody of their children, as the two sides will pull no punches to prove how horrible of a parent the other one is.

The latest salvo fired by Chantel Kendall, aside from the allegations of emotional and physical abuse, could affect more than Kendall’s ability to raise his children, but could also have an impact on the game of baseball itself. Chantel says Jason Kendall is abusing the prescription drug Adderall.

Adderall is a drug that is commonly prescribed to those who are diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, and it is an amphetamine. The purpose of the drug is to help a patient increase their alertness, concentration, libido and overall cognitive skills.

TMZ was in court this AM as Kendall’s lawyer made a bid to allow Kendall to take the divorcing couple’s two kids to Kansas City for baseball season. Chantel, who came to court with boyfriend, Sean Stewart, is trying to block the move. There have been numerous accusations between Jason and Chantel of physical and emotional abuse

Best SLC Indoors since ‘03 for Lady Demons

OKLAHOMA CITY — Trecey Rew added nearly a foot to her school record while winning the women’s shot put Saturday, leading Northwestern State to its best team finish in eight years and the top finish by a Louisiana team, fifth, in the 12-team standings of the 2010 Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Rew, a junior, won her second SLC Indoor shot put title after a redshirt season due to a fractured foot in 2009. She threw 52-2 1/2, wiping out the school record of 51-5 she set earlier this season, and won by almost four feet.

Her victory contributed 10 points to the 46 1/2 total for the Lady Demons, who edged Texas State (46 points) for fifth in the overall team standings. Stephen F. Austin won with 151, followed by Texas-Arlington (122), Texas-San Antonio (105), Sam Houston State (59), NSU, Texas State, McNeese State (37), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (30), Lamar (23), Nicholls (20), Southeastern Louisiana (15 1/2) and Central Arkansas (8).
