Between March 16th and 20th, Hurstpierpoint Players are putting on Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy Sugar Daddies at their theatre in Hurst High Street. This play could have been an unsettling look at relationships between rich men long past the first flush of middle age and women decades younger, but Ayckbourn is interested in subverting our expectations.
When Sasha, a good-natured Norfolk lass – only two months in London – brings home an old man dressed as Santa, after finding him floored by a minor hit and run, all her Christmases come at once. Thanks to “Uncle” Val – with his apparent altruism, her wardrobe undergoes a deluxe transformation. This happens much to the suspicion and jealousy of her half-sister flatmate, Chloe, who finally huffs off and warns that payback time will surely arrive.

Tiger Woods… the ultimate Sugar Daddy

I am sure everyone has had enough of the Tiger Woods debacle, however, I think it is very important to take a step back and give him credit where credit is due. He is a great Sugar Daddy!

He kept all of his ladies on payroll and provided them with a very generous allowance. Tiger kept in contact with them and it appeared that he had developed a relationship with them which extended beyond a causal sexual encounter. Last, he provided them with amazing experiences, took them out on trips and showed them a great time.

Co-founder Elad Gil says that TownMe is still in “very, very early stages”, so there are still many features to come, but the core of the site seems to be in place, with local reviews and guides available for plenty of restaurants and events like San Francisco’s street fairs. The variety of topics covered is fairly broad, though at there are still a modest number of reviews.

While Gil ackowledges that there are other major sites like Yelp in this space, he points out some key differences. The site aggregates data from across the web, and also accepts user-submitted content. But instead of presenting a list of reviews submitted by individual users, the site is using a group-edited Wiki system, with a lengthy overview describing a certain establishment (there are still shorter, Yelp-style reviews with a star rating and comments beneath the Wiki). Gil says that the site also has a broader focus, and looks to offer entries that are more detailed than a Yelp review.

FC Moscow go out of business after owners pull plug on funding

Chelsea, be warned: some Russian sugar daddies turn off the tap. Russian Premier League side FC Moscow have ceased to exist after their owners, metal giants Norilsk Nickel, stopped funding them.

Eleven fans went on a hunger strike in an attempt to get the club back into the league, but gave up after five days when the head of the Russian FA visited them to say there was no chance of a return. He did promise that the club would retain their professional status, though that seems unlikely. The few players left at the club had their last training session last week and, reports Moscow Times, staff have been told they will not even play in the second division this year.
